Freddie Strudels

This durian strudel is soooooo gooooood! At first bite, right after the teeth cuts through those flaky pastries, the durian cream oozes out and fill the palate with wholesome sweet durianness! As the munch mashes the pastry and durian cream, the butter flavour emerges! I have to put my knife and fork down to focus on savouring the flavours! I have the strudel with a black coffee. But with hindsight, I recommend to have this with black tea instead. The tea can wash one’s palate for repeated burst and mash of the durian and buttery flavours! I pack the Chwee Kueh to go for my sister to try. She raves about it too! It is soft, the preserved radish (chai poh) was flavourful plus the sambal chilli gives it the just enough spicy kick!! DELISH!! My sister’s family and I try the Apple + Mango and Lychee + Strawberry half strudels. Apple and Mango are the family’s favourite! The mango filling is very generous with small mango cubes to add to the texture and experience mango juices at the munch! Thank you for putting urself on Google and I chanced on it while exploring Hyde Park… I telling my mates in Singapore to come try when they visit Perth!

Cozy shop with friendly staff. Best place for strudels whenever I visit Perth! Mango and durian are my fave. The puff pastries are so crunchy and fresh and light. Comes in convenient takeaway boxes as well. The large size has 3 layers of puff pastries while the smaller one has 2 layers. Travels well 👌, managed to fly it interstate.. Best eaten immediately while it's still fresh..

Sweet Patisserie store serving fruit strudels including the standard Apple strudel, but possibly more famous for its Durian Strudel and other Singapore inspired snacks and flavours like Chwee Kueh, Kaya and soft boiled eggs. The Strudel is very good, one of the best I've tried in Perth, with flakey and crispy pastry layering the filling and if you're a fan of durian you're in for a treat. If not, they have plenty of other flavours to choose from. They also serve coffee and tea, and cater for indoor and some al fresco dining as well as takeaway.

Very delicious strudels and puffs, as well as cozy place to hang out with friends. The Chwee Kueh and Roti Kaya breakfast are delicious. If you're looking for a spot to have breakfast, a quick lunch, or an afternoon tea, try out Freddie Strudels. Uncle Freddie and his family are really friendly as well. I really like coming to this place 😄

This place is an insult to Austrian strudel. What they call a “strudel” is NOT a real strudel. It has nothing to do with a lovely delicious pastry of that name. I’ve been to Austria and believe me it’s light years away from the quality, taste, shape and structure of real strudel. It’s a total con and discrepancy selling this huge thing covered in custard and call it “strudel”. I came there excited for a snack. I was served a rather thin “cappuccino” and a weird looking awkward pastry aka “strawberry strudel” swimming in custard. Inedible for me. Maybe it’s good but it was a huge disappointment for me and I didn’t bother eating it. What a waste of money unfortunately. The place is ok for coziness this 1 star otherwise I’d give none if was possible.
